Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Magic & Wonder for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Poinsettia Petals Bundle, the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper and the Sounds of the Season Dies.  We are all working with a Color Challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here are the colors we’re using (pick at least 3):

Christmas will be here before you know it, so here’s a sweet floral card to celebrate the season.  The Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper has all the colors in this challenge, so it works perfectly as a starting point.

To begin, adhere a panel of Poinsettia Place DSP to a Real Red card stock mat. Then adhere it centered on the front of a Very Vanilla Thick card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere a second panel of the Poinsettia Place DSP to a Real Red card stock mat before adhering it centered horizontally across the card front.

Use Gold Stampin’ Emboss powder to add the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set to a panel of Very Vanilla card stock before adhering it to a mat of Real Red card stock with Glue.  Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere some branches in Old Olive cut with dies from the Sounds of the Season Dies.

Add some small poinsettia blooms in Real Red card stock cut with a die from the Poinsettia Dies set.  Embellish with some Gold Metallic Pearls.  Adhere the art piece to the card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use Real Red ink to stamp the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock before adhering it to a Real Red card stock mat.  Then use Liquid Glue to adhere the completed layer to the inside of the card.  Add a single branch cut from Old Olive card stock in the bottom right corner adhered with small dabs of Glue.
