Stampin’ Up! Plaid Tidings Christmas for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Tag Buffet Stamp Set and the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a Sketch Challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here is the sketch we are all using:

The Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper takes the lead on this card.  It’s like a comfortable, warm blanket, a little home-y.  Perfect for Christmas time.  There are so many plaid patterns in this pack – 24 to be exact – something for every season.  And it’s on sale for the month of October – 48 6″x6″ sheets for $9.78!  Don’t miss out, you’ll be sad if you do.

Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of the Plaid Tidings DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock, offsetting the two so the white shows evenly on all four sides.  Then adhere the layer to the front of a Cherry Cobbler card base.

Stamp the sentiment from the Tag Buffet stamp set with Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and crop it with an oval die from the Stitched Shapes Dies set.  Use a slightly larger die from the Layering Ovals die set to cut a mat from Cherry Cobbler card stock.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment to the mat.  Use a sticker from the Wonder of the Season Memories & More Card Pack to embellish the sentiment before adhering it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Adhere a strip of Plaid Tidings DSP along the left edge of a panel of Whisper White card stock with Liquid Glue.  Stamp the sentiment from the Tag Buffet stamp set on the inside panel with Cherry Cobbler ink.  To complete, stamp the holly leaves with Shaded Spruce ink and the berries with Cherry Cobbler ink in the bottom right corner.  Adhere to the inside of the card with Glue and it’s another card done and ready to send.
