Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Sympathy Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Prized Peony Stamp Set, the Peony Dies and the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week – here’s my project:

And here is the sketch we are using:

I turned the sketch to make my card in a vertical orientation instead of horizontal.

Use the scalloped border die from the Peony Dies set to trim a strip of Whisper White card stock.  Adhere the scalloped strip along one edge of a panel of Peony Garden Designer Series Paper with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then use Liquid Glue to adhere the DSP panel to the front of a Petal Pink card base.

The large bloom from the Prized Peony Stamp Set is stamped with Gray Granite ink on a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock.  Color the flower with Petal Pink Light and Petal Pink Dark Stampin’ Blends markers.  The stems and leaves are colored with Granny Apple Green Light and Granny Apple Green Dark Stampin’ Blends markers.  Then crop the image with the coordinating die from the Peony Dies set.  Adhere the art piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment from the Prized Peony Stamp Set with Gray Granite Ink on a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock.  Use the Label Me Fancy Punch to cut it out.  Cut a length of Gray Granite 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon.  Secure the ribbon in place with Mini Glue Dots.  Then adhere the sentiment label over the ribbon with Dimensionals.  Embellish with a few Elegant Faceted Gems in Petal Pink.

Using stamps from the Prized Peony Stamp Set, first stamp the small floral image on a Whisper White panel card stock using Petal Pink ink that is stamped off twice.  Then stamp the sentiment over the bloom with Gray Granite ink.  Adhere a strip of Peony Garden DSP along the bottom edge of the panel with Liquid Glue.  Then Glue the panel to the inside of the card base.
