Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Friend Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the new Forever Fern Stamp Set, Forever Flourishing Dies and the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.  All of these are now available for ordering!  We are all working with a color challenge this week – here’s my project:

And here are the colors we are all using:The Forever Greenery Suite is one of my favorites from the 2020-21 Annual Catalog.  The Stamps, Dies, Designer Series Paper, Ribbon and Twine Combo Pack, Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, Embossing Folders and Gold Hoop Embellishments are all must-haves on my list.  Be sure you check them out – they’ll probably be on your list, too!

Adhere a panel of Forever Greenery DSP to the front of the Pretty Peacock card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Use Pretty Peacock ink to stamp the sentiment from the Forever Fern Stamp Set on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Stamp the speckles with Pretty Peacock ink repeatedly on the art piece before reinking to add some texture in the background.  Adhere the stamped panel to a mat of Pretty Peacock card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Cut a length of 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon and tie a knot in it before wrapping it around the art piece – with the Pretty Peacock side showing – and adhere the ends on the back side of the layer with tape.  Ink the leaf image by tapping the stamp on a Pear Pizzazz ink pad, add some Just Jade ink with a sponge dauber and a few speckles with Pretty Peacock ink.  Use your breath to moisten the ink and stamp on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then cut it out with the coordinating die from the Forever Flourishing Dies.

Repeat to make three branches of leaves.  Adhere one branch with Mini Glue Dots, another with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the last one with a combination of Glue Dots and Dimensionals.  Adhere the completed art piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Gold Glitter Enamel Dots embellishments are the perfect finishing touch.

Stamp a few Pretty Peacock speckles on a panel of Whisper White card stock for the inside of the card.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere a strip Forever Greenery DSP to the left edge of the panel before adhering it to the inside of the card.
