Stampin’ Up! Healing Hugs for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Healing Hugs Stamp Set.  We are all working with a color challenge this week – here’s my project:

And here are the colors we are all using:

I love the Healing Hugs Stamp Set – it’s a DISTINKTIVE style stamp, exclusive to Stampin’ Up!  It has a lot of dimension and texture when stamped.  Unfortunately, it isn’t easily captured in photographs, but fortunately, really cool to see in person.  Ink the flower image with sponge daubers using So Saffron and Mango Melody inks, then stamp it on a square panel of Whisper White card stock.  Without re-inking, stamp again in the center of the Whisper White panel for the inside of the card.

Stamp the image again on a sticky note and cut it out to mask (cover) the flower image and then stamp the leaf image three times with Old Olive ink.  There’s an illustrated explanation how to do this technique on page 72 of the new 2020-21 Annual Catalog.  Check it out!  Then use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the art piece to a panel of Old Olive card stock.  Die cut a butterfly from Mango Melody card stock using the Butterfly Beauty Dies and adhere near the flower with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the sentiment from the Healing Hugs Stamp Set with Old Olive ink in the lower right hand corner of a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then adhere the panel to a mat of Mango Melody card stock with Liquid Glue.  Use Glue to adhere the completed layer to the front of an Old Olive card base.  Then adhere the art piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Embellish with a few Holiday Rhinestones – the Pumpkin Pie colored ones work just fine.

Stamp the sentiment from the Healing Hugs Stamp Set on the panel for the inside of the card using Old Olive ink.  Adhere the stamped panel to the Mango Melody card stock mat and then to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.  Send it on it’s way to brighten someone’s day and let them know you’re thinking about them.
