Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad Thanks for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper, the Free As a Bird Stamp Set, the Ornate Frames Dies and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week – here’s my project:

And here is the sketch we are using this week:

Stampin’ Up! has issued their retiring list and this beautiful Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper is on the list.  Hurry and get it while you can – it’s even on sale!

Adhere a panel of Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper to the front of a Gray Granite card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Use the largest rectangle in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies set to cut a rectangle from Whisper White card stock.   Adhere the panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Fussy-cut a bird on a branch image from the Bird Ballad DSP and adhere over the bottom left corner of the card with Liquid Glue.  Stamp the sentiment from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Gray Granite card stock.  Cut it out using a die from the Ornate Frames Dies set.  Adhere the sentiment to the card front with Glue.  Add a little bling with some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Fussy-cut a floral image from the Bird Ballad DSP and adhere to a panel of Whisper White card stock with Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the panel to the inside of the card base using Glue, as well.  And there you have it – simple, sweet and ready to send.  This card requires no special handling when mailing.

*** You can find a complete list of supplies for this project, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.
