Stampin’ Up! Dressed To Impress Hello Fabulous for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set, the All Dressed Up Dies and the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a color challenge this week – here’s my project:

And here are the colors we are using:

Gate fold cards with a belly band are pretty special and fun for the recipient to open.  The anticipation builds as they slide the belly band off to see the message inside.  This card base is Blackberry Bliss card stock scored twice to create the two flaps on the front.  Take care to make them as even and straight as possible.  Cut the panel of Best Dressed Designer Series Paper as one large piece first, then cut it up the middle.  Take care to match it up as you adhere it to the front of the card base to maintain the pattern.

The belly band is a strip of Purple Posy card stock wrapped around the base with the ends meeting in the front, covered with the sentiment and art piece.  It needs to be loose enough to slide off easily, but not too loose, so it stays in place.  Use Old Olive ink to stamp the little branch from the Dressed To Impress stamp set randomly on the strip.  Use the Starburst Punch to cut the Blackberry Bliss circle.  Adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment is stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink on a panel of Purple Posy card stock and cropped with the label die from the All Dressed Up die set.  The flowers from the Dressed To Impress stamp set are stamped with Sahara Sand ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends markers in Light and Dark Purple Posy, Light and Dark Old Olive and Light So Saffron.  Crop with the coordinating  All Dressed Up dies and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add a few Gold Metallic Pearls and use a Glue Dot to adhere a simple bow from Whisper White Baker’s Twine.

Use Sahara Sand ink to stamp the flowers on a panel of Whisper White card stock and color with Stampin’ Blends markers in Light and Dark Purple Posy, Light and Dark Old Olive and Light So Saffron.  Adhere the panel to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.

Have fun making this card and sending it or handing it to someone special to brighten their day.  The Best Dressed Designer Series Paper has many beautiful floral prints – be sure to get a pack for yourself – I promise you’ll be glad you did.
