Stampin’ Up! Spring / Easter Baskets for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  This month our theme is “Celebrate Spring”.  My  project today features the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper.  It’s currently one of my favorites, because of the pretty floral designs.  We have a great group of participants in our hop this month.  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Inkin’ Krew Team members are sharing with you today.

When I think of celebrating Spring, I think of Easter.  I found these cute little baskets made from Designer Series Paper on Pinterest and had to give them a try.  They are so easy!  I wanted to share them with you because I think you’ll love them as much as I do.  Each basket is made from a 6″ x 6″ panel of DSP.

A length of Scalloped Linen Ribbon forms the handle of this basket – but you could also use a 1/2″ wide strip of card stock.  Staple the handle to the outside of the basket to secure.  The leaves are cut with the Sprig punch and adhered to a 1-3/8″ Scallop Circle.  Then adhere the scalloped circle with the leaves over the end of the ribbon with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Use the Small Bloom Punch to cut flowers from the Pleased As Punch DSP.  The flower is then adhered to a 1-1/8″ scallop circle, which is adhered over the ends of the leaves – all with Liquid Glue.

As mentioned, there are a number of samples of this basket on Pinterest and some have video tutorials.  Basically you score a 6″ x 6″ panel of DSP at 2″ and 4″, turn the paper 90 degrees and score again at 2″ and 4″.  Fold along the score lines.  Clip the paper as shown.  Then fold the ends in and match up the points at the top and adhere with Liquid Glue

Have fun making baskets!  I think this paper is really pretty.   Do you have a favorite?
