Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you for this challenge.  My project today features the NEW Tags in Bloom Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set and the Designer Series Paper from the Botanical Prints Product Medley.  We are all working with a color challenge this week – here’s my project:

I had fun with this card.  The DSP under the sentiment tag is from the Botanical Prints collection – originally black & white – which I hand-colored with Blends.  I LOVE to color!

Begin by using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to a panel of Whisper White card stock and then adhere it to a panel of Basic Black card stock as shown.  Adhere a strip of Bermuda Bay DSP to the Basic Black mat, as well.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue for both.  Color the panel of Botanical Prints DSP with the following Blends Markers – Light Bermuda Bay, Light Granny Apple Green and Light & Dark Lovely Lipstick.  Then adhere the colored panel to a mat of Basic Black card stock.  The layer is then adhered to the front panel about 1″ up from the bottom using Liquid Glue.  Use Glue to adhere the completed layered panel to the front of a Lovely Lipstick card base.

Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the label on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Once it dries thoroughly, color the flowers with Blends.  Use Light & Dark Lovely Lipstick for the flower petals, Light and Dark Granny Apple Green for the leaves and Light & Dark Bermuda Bay for the flower center.  I also used the Light Bermuda Bay marker to add a bit of color to the label inside the black outline.

Use you Paper Snips to cut out the stamped image.  Then stamp the sentiment from the Tags in Bloom stamp set with Bermuda Bay ink on a separate panel of Whisper White card stock and cut it out with the coordinating Label Me Lovely Punch.  Adhere the sentiment to colored label with Liquid Glue.  Adhere the completed label to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add some Basic Rhinestones and Pearls embellishments and a bow tied with Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding.

Stamp the small flower and leaf from the Tags in Bloom stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock for the inside of the card.  Color with Blends Markers.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the inside panel to a mat of Basic Black card stock before adhering to the inside of the card.  The sentiment is generic – what would YOU use it for?  Birthday, Retirement, Congratulations or a different celebration?
