Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms Thank You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you for this challenge.  My project today features the Forever Blossoms Bundle with a sentiment cut with the Thank You die.  We are all working with a color challenge this week – here’s my project:

And here are the colors we’re using this week:

My card today is based on a layout I found on Pinterest designed by Dena Rekow.  I love the contrast of the bright colors with the black and white.

To begin, use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper (a FREE Sale-A-Bration item) to a mat of Basic Black card stock.  Then adhere the layer to the front of a Lovely Lipstick card base with Liquid Glue.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Whisper White card stock to a mat of Basic Black card stock.  Wrap a length of Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon across the bottom of the panel and adhere the ends to the back side with tape.

Use the Thank You Die to cut the sentiment from Basic Black card stock and adhere it to the layer with Liquid Glue, centered top to bottom and left to right – it overlaps the ribbon just a bit.  Adhere the sentiment panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Stamp four of the single cherry blossoms from the Forever Blossoms stamp set with Lovely Lipstick ink on Whisper White card stock.  Use a sponge dauber with Petal Pink ink to add some color to the blossoms before cutting them out with the coordinating die in the Cherry Blossoms die set.

Use Mint Macaron ink to stamp three single leaves and three double leaves from the Forever Blossoms stamp set on Whisper White card stock.  Cut them out with the coordinating dies from the Cherry Blossoms die set.  Adhere the leaves and blossoms to the card front – sliding the leaves under the blossoms a bit.  Two of the blossoms are adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional, the rest of the blossoms and leaves are adhered with Glue.  Embellish with some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and finish off with a bow adhered with Mini Glue Dots.

Use Mint Macaron ink to stamp a set of leaves in the lower right corner of a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Stamp a cherry blossom on a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out with the die before adhering it with Glue.  Adhere the panel to a mat of Basic Black card stock before gluing it to the inside of the card.  Ready for delivery!
