Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical R&R for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you for this challenge.  My card today features the Timeless Tropical stamp set and In the Tropics Dies from the new Tropical Oasis Suite paired with the new Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder and Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week – here’s my card:

And here is the sketch we are using this week:

To begin, prepare the card base with Mossy Meadow card stock.  Use Mossy Meadow ink to stamp the leaf image from the Timeless Tropical stamp set around the edges of the card front.  Use the largest scalloped rectangle die in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies set to cut one rectangle from Tropical Oasis DSP and one from Terracotta Tile card stock.  Add texture to the Terracotta Tile panel with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder.  Adhere the two rectangles to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Use Soft Suede ink to stamp the large flower and five leaves on a panel of Very Vanilla Thick card stock.  Allow the ink to dry thoroughly and then color the images using Stampin’ Blends.  Use Calypso Coral Light and Dark Blends markers and Daffodil Delight Light and Dark Blends markers to color the flower.  Use Old Olive Light and Dark Blends markers to color the leaves.  Then use the corresponding dies from the In the Tropics Dies to cut them out.

Arrange the leaves and flower on the card front to determine placement.  Adhere the leaves with Mini Glue Dots and the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Stamp the sentiment on Very Vanilla Thick card stock with Mossy Meadow ink.  Use washi tape or a post-it note to mask the portion you don’t want to ink up, remove and then stamp the inked portion.  Use the All Dressed Up Dies to cut the sentiment out.  Adhere to the card front with a Dimensional on the left end and Glue on the right end.

For the inside of the card, adhere a panel of Very Vanilla card stock to the card base with Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the last couple of leaves and you’re done.
