Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms Valentine for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  This month our theme is “Love”.  My  project features the new Forever Blossoms Stamp Set and Cherry Blossom Dies, and a sneak of the Nature’s Thoughts Dies.  I think it will work well as a Valentine, a Wedding Card or an Anniversary Card!  We have a great group of participants in our hop this month.  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Inkin’ Krew Team members are sharing with you today.

To begin, use Real Red ink to stamp the single blossom from the Forever Blossoms stamp set eight times on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Use a Blender Pen to drag some of the ink from the center of the blooms towards the outer edges – some petals are colored more than others. Cut them out with the corresponding die from the Cherry Blossoms Dies set.  The flowers are adhered to a red Heart Doily with Mini Glue Dots.

Cut some medium and large size leaves from Granny Apple Green card stock with dies from the Cherry Blossoms Dies set – they have veins embossed on them – though it’s hard to see in the picture.  The leaves are tucked under and around the flowers and adhered to the doily with Mini Glue Dots, as well.  Try to maintain the heart shape as you assemble.

Cut a panel of Whisper White card stock with the rectangle die from the Nature’s Thoughts Dies set – available for order on February 4th – or else cut a 2-7/8″ x 4-3/8″ panel.  Stamp the word “Love” from the Forever Blossoms stamp set in the lower right corner with Real Red ink.  Adhere the white panel to a mat of Flirty Flamingo card stock.  Adhere the completed heart art piece to this prepared layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then adhere the completed layer to the card front with Dimensionals, as well.  Finish by adhering a triple loop bow tied with 1/4″ Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding to the center of the heart with a Glue Dot.  Embellish the sentiment with a gem from the From My Heart Faceted Gems collection.

For the inside panel, use Real Red ink to stamp a blossom in the lower right corner of the Whisper White panel and drag some ink from the center to the petals with a Blender Pen.  Stamp the sentiment from the Forever Blossoms stamp set with Real Red ink before adhering the panel to a mat of Flirty Flamingo card stock with Liquid Glue.  Use Glue to adhere the completed panel to the inside of the card base.

Now you’re ready to wish someone you love a Happy Valentine’s Day, Happy Anniversary or even use this as a Wedding Card – what do you think?
