Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you for this challenge.  My card today features a Tropical Oasis Memories and More Card from the new Tropical Oasis Suite paired with the new Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder and a sentiment from the Beautiful Day stamp set.  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week – here’s my card:

And here is the sketch we are using:

To begin, use the new Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to a panel of Grapefruit Grove card stock, then trim it down to 3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″ to square it up. Adhere it to a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock with SNAIL.  Use your Paper Snips to fussy-cut the large floral image from a new Tropical Oasis Memories & More card.  Adhere the image to the art piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The birthday stamp is from the Beautiful Day stamp set.  Before inking the stamp, use sticky note to mask the line under the main sentiment.  Then ink the stamp with Pretty Peacock ink, remove the mask and stamp it on a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock.  Use a die from the Stitched Rectangles dies to cut out the sentiment.  Cut it once with the sentiment near the top of the die, then re-position the strip in the die to line the sentiment up near the bottom of the die and cut it again.

Adhere the sentiment to the art piece with Liquid Glue.  Embellish with a Pretty Peacock Faceted Dot and a small triple loop bow tied with Linen Thread.  The art piece is adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use the same stamp from the Beautiful Day stamp set for the inside sentiment.  This time mask the “Happy Birthday” and ink up the line under it with Pretty Peacock ink.  Remove the mask and stamp it along the bottom edge of a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock.   Adhere a fussy-cut floral image cut from the same Tropical Oasis Memories & More card in the upper left corner using Liquid Glue.  The greeting is a sticker from the Tropical Oasis Memories & More pack, as well.  Adhere the inside panel to a mat of Grapefruit Grove card stock before adhering to the inside of the card using SNAIL or Liquid Glue.
