Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature Christmas Wishes for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you for this challenge.  Today’s Christmas Card features the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set paired with the Toile Christmas Bundle.  We are all working with a color challenge this week – here’s my card:

And here are the colors we are using this week:

So you see the colors this week are Smoky Slate, Whisper White and a color of our choice.  My choice is Shaded Spruce – my current favorite for Christmas greenery.

Begin by stamping the single and double evergreen trees multiple times with Shaded Spruce Ink across a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Stamp twice or three times before reinking to create depth.  Then use Smoky Slate ink and the snowfall stamp from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set to add snowflakes in the sky above the trees.  Stamp twice before reinking.

Adhere the art piece to a panel of Smoky Slate card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Tie a knot with two lengths of Shaded Spruce/Gold 3/8″ Striped Ribbon, wrap across the art piece layer and adhere the ends to the back with tape.  Adhere the completed layer to the front of a Shaded Spruce card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stamp the sentiment from the Toile Tidings stamp set with Shaded Spruce Ink on a panel of Smoky Slate card stock.  Cut the sentiment out with the coordinating die in the Christmas Cardinal Dies.  Adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Embellish the card front by adding gold faceted stars from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley to the tops of a few trees.

Stamp a few trees on the inside panel of Whisper White card stock in the same manner as the front.  Use Smoky Slate Ink to stamp the sentiment from the Toile Christmas stamp set to the panel before adhering it to a mat of Smoky Slate card stock with Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the completed layer to the inside of the card base with Glue.
