Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty Peaceful Christmas for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you for this challenge.  My card features the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set with support from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set and the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set.  We are all working with a color challenge this week – here’s my card:

And here are the colors we are using:

The hand drawn animal and nature images in the Nature’s Beauty stamp set remind me of the pen and ink drawings I did in my early 20’s.  How could I resist buying this stamp set?  I had fun using it to make a Holiday/Winter card that works for Christmas, too.  To make this card, stamp the bunny, grass and shrubs with Early Espresso ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Color the bunny with Stampin’ Blends markers in Light Crumb Cake and Dark Crumb Cake.

Use a die from the Layering Circles Die Set to cut an opening in a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  Use the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to the panel.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the bunny image behind the opening before adhering the panel to a mat of Early Espresso card stock.  Wrap a length of Cherry Cobbler 3/8″ Diagonal Strip Ribbon across the bottom left corner and secure the ends on the back side with tape.  Cut two more lengths of ribbon, tie a knot and wrap across the top right corner of the panel, again securing the ends on the back side with tape.

Adhere the completed panel to the front of a Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Stamp the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock.  Cut it out with the Classic Label Punch.  Use Paper Snips to square the left end of the label and adhere to a strip of Early Espresso card stock with Liquid Glue.  Trim the ends of the strip to create a mat for the label, then adhere to the card front using Glue.

Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the deer image from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set off the edge of a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set with Cherry Cobbler ink on the panel before adhering it to a mat of Early Espresso card stock with Liquid Glue.  Then use Glue to adhere the completed panel to the inside of the card .
