Stampin’ Up! Snowman Season Fun Fold for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone to see the great projects they are sharing with you for this challenge.  My Joy Fold card features the Snowman Season Stamp Set and the Snowman Builder Punch, plus the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper.  It has an added special touch with a snowflake from the Tiny Keepsakes Stamp Set and the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Dies.  We are all working with a color challenge this week – here’s my card:

And here are the colors we are using this week:

This Joy Fold card features numerous patterns of DSP from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The “Specialty” refers to the glittery winter images on some of the sheets.  To be honest, I’m not a big fan of glitter, but when I saw this paper I couldn’t pass it up.  Click on the pictures to take a close look – you’ll see what I’m talking about.  And it doesn’t rub off!  No mess, I promise!

To begin, scroll down to the Card Stock Cuts at the bottom of this post and cut all the pieces listed.  The card will go together much quicker and easier if you do.

Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere all the panels of DSP and card stock.  The largest panel of the Let It Snow Specialty DSP is adhered to the inside of the card base.  The medium sized piece is adhered to the front of the smaller card.  The smallest piece is adhered to the left side front flap.  Use Paper Snips to cut the wavy red DSP strips for the front art piece and inside sentiment panel.

Use the Snowman Builder Punch to cut out the white glittery snowman and the black hat from the Let It Snow DSP.  Use Paper Snips to fussy-cut the smaller snowman.  Adhere the red strip of DSP along the bottom of the front panel.  Then apply some Shimmery Crystal Effects across the top edge and sprinkle with Ice Stampin’ Glitter.  Adhere the snowmen to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the small card to the back panel – fold on the right and opening on the left – centered left to right and top to bottom.

Stamp the snowflake from the Tiny Keepsakes stamp set with Coastal Cabana ink on a scrap of Coastal Cabana card stock.  Cut it out with the die from the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Dies.  Add Shimmery Crystal Effects and sprinkle with Ice Stampin’ Glitter.  Note:  The snowflake on the left side front is adhered with a trimmed Dimensional on the left side only, so the front flap can be tucked under it.  Embellish the snowflake and front art piece with Red Rhinestone Jewels.

The smaller panel Whisper White panel for the inside left has snowflakes stamped with Coastal Cabana ink – stamped off once or twice.  The sentiment is stamped with Real Red ink.  Adhere to the inside flap.  Then stamp the sentiments on the Whisper White card stock for the center panel with Real Red ink.  Adhere a second strip of red DSP along the bottom edge of the stamped panel before adhering it to the inside of the card.  This Fun Fold is truly fun to make – give it a try!
