Stampin’ Up! Country Home Gather Together for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Starting today two more of our team members have joined our weekly hop: Akiko Sudano and Karen Ksenzakovic.  So excited to have them!  Please be sure to visit everyone to see the great projects they are sharing with you for this challenge.  My card features the Country Home Stamp Set, the Gather Together Stamp Set and the Gathered Leaves Dies, plus the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week – here’s my card:

And here’s the sketch we are using this week:

The leaf die from the Gathered Leaves Dies makes the perfect frame for the cattail arrangement from the Country Home Stamp Set.  It’s fun to combine different sets and explore the possibilities.

Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the sentiment from the Gather Together stamp set in the bottom right corner of a panel Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Then use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the stamped layer to an Early Espresso card stock mat and then to the Mossy Meadow card base.

Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the image from the Country Home Stamp Set on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Cut it out with the leaf die from the Gathered Leaves Dies and then color it with Stampin’ Blends in Soft Suede, Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow.

Adhere the leaf to a Cajun Craze card stock circle cut with the largest circle in the Stitched Shapes Dies.  Adhere the layer to an Early Espresso scalloped circle mat cut with a Layering Circles Die before adhering to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish with a stacked bow tied from Linen Thread and Cajun Craze linen thread from the Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack.

Stamp the sentiment from the Country Home Stamp Set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock before adhering it to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.  Now it’s time to send it off to someone special.
