Stampin’ Up! Gather Together Harvest Blessings for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the  Gather Together stamp set, the Gathered Leaves Dies and the Country Home stamp set.  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week – here’s my card:

And here’s the sketch we are all using:

I started this card by building the layers on the front – first adhering the wood grain panel and then the Cajun Craze print strip of Come To Gather Designer Series Paper to the Cajun Craze card stock mat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The completed layer is the adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the large leaf image from the Gather Together stamp set on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Color with Stampin’ Blends markers – Light Mango Melody, Light Mossy Meadow and Dark Cajun Craze.  Use the Gathered Leaves Dies to cut it out. Then die cut a detailed textured leaf from Mango Melody card stock, spritzing with water first.  Shape the leaf while still damp, and lightly sponge the edges with Mango Melody ink.  Stamp the pumpkin image with Early Espresso ink on a panel of Pumpkin Pie card stock.  Add some shading with the same Stampin’ Blends markers and cut out with the coordinating die.

Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the sentiment from the Country Home stamp set on a strip of Very Vanilla card stock.  Cut out with a label die from the Lakeside Dies.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the two leaves to the card front.  The pumpkin image is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, as is the sentiment label.  Tie a triple loop bow with Mossy Meadow twine from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack and adhere with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the large leaf image from the Gather Together stamp set with Cajun Craze ink stamped off four times on scrap paper before stamping on the Very Vanilla card stock panel.  Stamp the sentiment over the leaf image with Early Espresso ink using a Stamparatus.  Adhere the stamped panel to a Cajun Craze card stock mat before adhering to the inside of the card using Liquid Glue.  Ready to send to someone special in your life.
