Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Birthday for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the Floral Essence Stamp Set and coordinating Perennial Flower Punch and Leaf Punch, the Well Said Stamp Set and Well Written Dies, plus some Subtles Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a color challenge this week – here’s my card:

And here are the colors we are showcasing:

Love these colors together – so perfect for a floral card, which in case you haven’t noticed, is kind of my favorite theme for cards lately.  The three petal flower in the Floral Essence stamp set and coordinating Perennial Flower Punch make a sweet bloom, perfect for any occasion.

To begin, use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Blushing Bride Designer Series Paper from the Subtles DSP collection to a Garden Green card stock mat.  Die cut the sentiment from Garden Green card stock with the Well Written Dies and adhere to the front layer with small dabs of Liquid Glue.  Adhere the layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the flowers and leaves from the Floral Essence stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock using Blushing Bride and Garden Green ink.  Use the Perennial Flower Punch and Leaf Punch to cut them out.  Layer the flowers and adhere with Liquid Glue.  Adhere the flowers to the card front with Glue.  Tuck leaves under the flowers and adhere with Glue, as well.  Die cut a couple Crushed Curry butterflies with the Well Written Dies and add them to the card front.  Embellish the butterflies with pearls and add Perennial Essence Floral Centers to the blooms to complete.

Use Garden Green ink to stamp the sentiment from the Well Said stamp set to the inside of the card.  Adhere one more Crushed Curry die cut butterfly and it’s ready for delivery.
