Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Lane Birthday for Simply Stampin’ Sunday

Welcome to Simply Stampin’ Sunday – my post of Clean And Simple projects that can be made in minutes using Stampin’ Up! products.  This week’s project features the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack, Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack and the inside sentiment is from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set.

My card design is based on the sketch challenge at Fab Friday 169

Card making is so simple with the Memories & More Card Packs.  They include 50 double-sided cards in two sizes with 25 designs, printed specialty papers and 4 sticker sheets.  So many options!

Cut the card panels to the desired size and shape to make them work for the design you have in mind.  The large card on the front is trimmed from 6″ to 5-1/2″ long.  The sentiment is die cut from a small card.

Use a length of Mossy Meadow Linen Thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack to cinch a length of Burlap Ribbon – secure with a knot and then tie a bow.  Embellish the card front with a few Petal Pink sequins from the Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins pack.

Add a stamped sentiment and a magnolia sticker to complete the inside of the card.

Here are the Simple Steps to make this project:

  1. The card base is a 4-1/4″ x 11″ panel of Petal Pink card stock scored at 5-1/2″.
  2. Choose a large card from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack for the background on the card front and trim the length down to 5-1/2″
  3. Adhere the panel to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  4. Use a circle die from the Stitched Shapes dies to cut the sentiment from a small card in the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack.
  5. Use a scalloped die from the Layering Circles Dies to cut a mat from Petal Pink card stock.
  6. Adhere the sentiment piece to the mat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  7. Adhere the sentiment layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  8. Cut a 3-1/2″ length of Burlap Ribbon and trim the ends at an angle.
  9. Wrap a length of Mossy Meadow Linen Thread around the center of the ribbon, tie a knot to cinch it and then tie a bow.
  10. Adhere the ribbon trim to the sentiment panel with Mini Glue Dots.
  11. Embellish the card front with some Petal Pink sequins from the Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequin pack.
  12. Use Old Olive ink to stamp the sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set in the lower left corner of a 4″ x 5-1/2″ panel of Whisper White card stock.
  13. Adhere the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card and complete with a magnolia sticker from the Memories & More Card Pack in the lower right corner.

Oh, Sue, this is lovely! Such pretty paper, and a perfect tiny scallop detail, but my fave is that pretty tied burlap trim – perfect! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
