Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the  Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper, the Stitched Nested Labels and the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set.  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

I’m loving the sweet bird images in this paper collection.  And yes, they “make” me grab my Paper Snips and fussy-cut, which I love doing.  I think this sweet pair make a great focal point; do you think so too?

Begin by adhering a panel of Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper to a mat of Pool Party card stock and then adhere the layer to a Whisper White Thick card base.  Use the Stitched Nested Labels to create the banner.  I cut the Pool Party mat with the largest die and the Whisper White layer with the second largest die.  After determining the length I wanted, I trimmed the ends and added the piercing detail across the top with the die strip to give it a finished look.

Fussy -cut the bird image and adhere to the banner with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Wrap a length of Mossy Meadow Twine from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack around the top of the banner and adhere the ends to the back with tape.  Adhere the banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Complete with a triple loop bow.

Stamp the sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and cut out with a die from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  Adhere to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Fussy-cut a flower image from a panel of Bird Ballad DSP and adhere to the bottom right corner of a panel of Whisper White card stock with Liquid Glue.  Adhere the panel to a mat of Pool Party card stock before adhering to the inside of the card to complete.  I can’t decide if it will be an Engagement Card, Wedding Card, Anniversary Card, or Valentine – so I left the inside blank – TBD – to be determined.
