Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  This month our theme is “Celebrate Summer”.  My card features the Lovely Is the Day Stamp Set.  We have a great group of participants in our hop this month.  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Team members are sharing with you today.

The Lovely Is the Day Bundle features many images and elements with flowers and greenery that work beautifully together.  Flowers and plants make me think of summer.  I especially love when a single flower shows up unexpectedly to brighten up a spot where I didn’t plant it – a volunteer.  That’s what I have tried to capture with this card.

To begin, stamp the image of the thin branch with Granny Apple Green ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Color the leaves with Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends marker.  Then add texture to the panel with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder – yes, it’s available again!  Round the corners of the panel with the Detailed Trio Punch and adhere to a mat of Petal Pink card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stamp the image of the flower on a stem with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Let it dry thoroughly before coloring the flower with Light and Dark Petal Pink and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.  Color the leaves with Light and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and the stamens in the flower center with a Light Pineapple Punch Blends marker.  Then cut out the image with the coordinating die in the Lovely Leaves Die Set.  Layer the flower stem and two fern leaves cut with the Lovely Leaves Die Set from Granny Apple Green card stock on the panel and adhere with Liquid Glue.

Wrap a length of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon around the layer and secure the ends on the back with tape.  Add a bow, then adhere the art piece to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Use Granny Apple Green ink to stamp the sentiment on a strip of Whisper White card stock.  Round the corners of the strip with the Detailed Trio Punch before adhering to the card front with Dimensionals.  Embellish with a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The inside of the card has a panel of Whisper White card stock with rounded corners adhered to a mat of Petal Pink card stock and then to the base with Liquid Glue.  Adhere a couple fern leaves in the top left and lower right corners with dabs of Glue.
