Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Thank You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the Floral Essence Stamp Set, the Parcels & Petals Bundle, the Magnolia Memory Dies and the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here is the fun sketch we are using this week:

To begin, adhere the small floral print panel of Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper to the card base with Liquid Glue.  Use the border die from the Magnolia Memory die set to cut along the bottom edge of the linen print panel of Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere this panel to a mat of Whisper White card stock. Trim the bottom edge with the border die or fussy-cut with Paper Snips, as I did.  Wrap a length of Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine around the layer three times, securing the ends on the back with tape.  Adhere the completed layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The flowers and leaves in my project were inspired by this card made by Martin Stone.  They are from the Floral Essence stamp set.  The large flower is stamped on a panel of Whisper White card stock with Lovely Lipstick ink.  The smaller flowers are Lovely Lipstick ink stamped off once, then stamped on Whisper White card stock.

The leaves are stamped on Mossy Meadow card stock in Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Stampin’ Emboss powder and heated with the heat tool.  This gives them an appearance that matches the flowers.  Use your Paper Snips to fussy-cut the flowers and leaves.

Adhere the smaller flowers and leaves to the art piece with Liquid Glue.  Adhere the large bloom with Stampin’ Dimesionals.  Stamp the sentiment from the Parcels & Petals stamp set with Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Cut out with the small label die from the Perfect Parcel dies and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Tie a five loop bow with Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine and adhere with Glue Dots.

Cut the bottom edge of the Whisper White card stock inside panel with the die from the Magnolia Memory dies.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the panel plus a large bloom and a few leaves.  It’s the perfect finishing touch!
