Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Wishes for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the Dandelion Wishes stamp set, the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets and the Nobel Peacock Rhinestones.  We are all working with a color challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here are the colors we are using this week:

To begin, use sponge daubers direct to the red rubber stamp to ink the dandelion trio image from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set – Old Olive ink for the main stems and flower centers, Proud Peacock ink for the little stems and Blueberry Bushel ink for the little florets.  Moisten the ink with your breath and stamp on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  One color blends into the next, though it’s difficult to capture with the camera.

Use the largest square in the Stitched Shapes dies to cut out the art piece.  Use a scalloped square die from the Layering Squares dies to cut a mat for the art piece from a panel of Blueberry Bushel Noble Peacock Foil Sheet.  Adhere the mat to the art piece with Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Use Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Old Olive Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper to a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then adhere the art piece to this layer with Liquid Glue.  Wrap a length of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon across the front of the layer and adhere the ends to the back with tape.  Adhere the layer to the front of the Pretty Peacock card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Complete the front by adhering a bow tied with Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon with Mini Glue Dots and add some Blueberry Bushel rhinestones from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones collection to the flower centers.  These rhinestones are gorgeous!  There are 140 in the pack in five different colors and three different sizes.  You NEED these.  Buy them now!

Stamp the sentiment from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set with Blueberry Bushel ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere strips of Old Olive Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series paper at the top and bottom edges of the panel before adhering to the inside of the card with Glue.
