Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Lane You & Me for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack and the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.  And No Stamping!  What?!?  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here is the sketch we are using:

To begin, trim a floral print 4″ x 6″ card from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack down to 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Adhere it to the front a Basic Black card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Next use Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of pink striped paper from the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper collection over the floral print.  I love that there are so many options with coordinating products in the Magnolia Lane Suite!

Cut the large label from Petal Pink card stock using the Stitched Labels Die set.  Adhere it to the card front with Liquid Glue, as well.  Then use an oval Stitched Shapes die to cut the printed sentiment from a 3″ x 4″ card in the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack.  Adhere the sentiment piece over the label on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The floral embellishments adhered to the sentiment piece are stickers from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More card pack. I used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the parts that overhang the sentiment panel to the card base.

The inside is finished off with another 4″ x 6″ card trimmed down to 4″ x 5-1/4″ which is adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The strip I trimmed off the card is then turned over and adhered along the bottom edge.  It’s too pretty to toss out, and really adds a nice finishing touch, I think.

So that was easy, right?  Sentiments on the front and inside, with no stamping required.  Although I do kind of miss getting inky…
