Stampin’ Up! Memorable Mosaic Thank You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the Memorable Mosaic stamp set and the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here is the sketch we are using:

The Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper has shiny accents on one side of each of the six different mosaic design papers which is hard to capture in photographs, but quite striking in person.  It calls to me to fussy-cut the images, which I did, of course.

To begin, use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper to a card base of Garden Green card stock.  Then use the Subtle Dynamic embossing folder to add texture to a panel of Very Vanilla card stock before adhering it to a Blushing Bride mat with Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the layer to the card front with Glue.

Trim a patterned strip from the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Then use the Timeless Label punch to round the ends.  The way to do this is to slip the end of the strip into the back side the punch from the center opening through the cutting edge before closing the punch.  Adhere the strip across the front of the card with Liquid Glue.

Fussy-cut a flower and some leaves from a panel of Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP.  Adhere them to the card front with Liquid Glue, layering over the strip, as shown.  Use Blushing Bride ink to stamp the sentiment from the Memorable Mosaic stamp set on a strip of Very Vanilla card stock.  Use the Classic Label punch to cut out the sentiment for the card front.  Adhere using Glue.

Adhere two patterned strips of Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP to the left and right edges of a panel of Very Vanilla card stock before adhering it to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue. With this finishing touch, the inside panel now mimics the design of the card front.  Easy and fun!
