Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Thanks for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the Floral Essence stamp set and the Well Written Framelits Dies.  We are all working with a color challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here are the colors we are using – with an optional pop of color:

My design is based on the sketch challenge for Freshly Made Sketches #388

Begin with the decorative panel by embossing Whisper White card stock with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Trim down to size and use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere it to a Basic Black card stock mat and then adhere the layer to the Basic Gray card base.

Use the Well Written Framelits Dies to cut the sentiment from Basic Black card stock.  Adhere the sentiment to the decorative panel using small dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp three flowers and three leafy branches on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  When thoroughly dry, use the Leaf Punch to cut out the leafy branches and use Paper Snips Scissors to fussy-cut the flowers.

Stamp the flower centers with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a scrap of Real Red card stock four times and after thoroughly dry, cut out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the flower centers to the flowers.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the flowers to the left and right sides of the decorative panel and add a Dimensional under the edges that extend over the card base.

The center flower is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the leafy branches are tucked under the flowers and adhered with Glue Dots.  Add a few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add a little bling.

Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the flower image off the edge of the Whisper White card stock panel for the inside of the card.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the flower center and also to adhere the inside panel to the interior of the card.
