Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature Father’s Day for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  This month our theme is a “Masculine” card.  My card celebrates Father’s Day and features two stamp sets – Rooted in Nature and Itty Bitty Greetings.  We have a great group of participants in our hop this month.  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Team members are sharing with you today.

For the art piece, use a sponge dauber to ink the large oak tree stamp with Granny Apple Green ink.  Then use another sponge dauber to add a bit of Garden Green ink for added depth and dimension.  Use the brush tip of a Soft Suede Stampin’ Write marker to color the tree trunk and trace over the branches.

Then use your breath to moisten all the inked areas and stamp on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Cut the image out with a Rectangle Stitched Framelits Die and use Liquid Glue to adhere to a Soft Suede card stock mat cut with a die the next size up.  Wrap the art piece with a length of Nature’s Twine in Crumb Cake, tie a knot and fray the ends.

For the decorative panel (hand stamped DSP) use Garden Green ink and a leaf stamp from the Rooted in Nature Stamp set to randomly add leaves on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  Follow by adding additional leaves inking with Granny Apple Green ink and stamping off once each time.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the stamped panel to a mat of Soft Suede card stock, which is then adhered to the Very Vanilla Thick card base with Glue, as well.

Stamp the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock and punch out with the Classic Label Punch.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the art piece to the card front.  Then adhere the sentiment label with Liquid Glue and add the copper accent Leaves Trinket using a Glue Dot to secure in place.

Inside the card, stamp a couple leaves in Garden Green ink and one in Granny Apple Green ink, all images are stamped off first.
