Stampin’ Up! Happiness Blooms for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper and the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack.  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here’s the sketch we’re using:

Love using the Memories & More Cards & Envelopes with Designer Series Paper and Card Packs for a quick card that’s simple to put together.  Aren’t the stripes on the envelope flaps a fun touch?  The Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack has many great designs in two different card sizes (56 total) plus 4 sticker sheets.  These are all retiring on June 3rd.  Don’t miss out!

To begin, use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper to the front of a large card from the Memories and More Cards & Envelopes.  Cut a couple of strips of the Happiness Blooms DSP for the banners.

Use the Banner Triple Punch to cut the banner end on the strip that’s 1-1/2″ wide.  Use Paper Snips to cut the banner end on the wide strip.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the wide banner first, aligning the top edge of the banner with the edge of the DSP panel on the card front.  Adhere the second banner over the top of the first one, again with Liquid Glue, this time aligning the top edge of the banner with the top edge of the card front.

The sentiment is cut from a card in the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack and adhered to a panel of Call Me Clover card stock with Liquid Glue.   Wrap a length of Pineapple Punch 1/8″ grosgrain ribbon around the sentiment layer, tie a knot and trim the ends.  Adhere the layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Add a couple of flower stickers and some leave from the Happiness Blooms Card Pack.  Adhere the blooms with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Embellish with some Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots – one in the center of the blue bloom and a few added in the top right corner to mimic the Designer Series Paper.

To bring some of the brightness from the front to the inside of the card, adhere a couple strips to the left and right sides with Glue.  Ready to add you special wishes with a handwritten note.
