Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the new Daisy Lane stamp set and the Butterfly Gala stamp set.  We are all working with a color challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here are the colors we are using:

I’m also playing along with Just Us Girls Trend Week #483 – Off the Edge

Stampin’ Up! has released the new Daisy Lane stamp set that coordinates with the current Daisy Punch. I’m loving the fern stamp and sentiments included in the set.  Plus it has a new medium daisy stamp that coordinates with the new Medium Daisy Punch.

Use Call Me Clover ink to stamp the fern multiple times on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Reink the stamp every other time to add some depth to the image.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the stamped panel to a mat of Calypso Coral card stock before adhering the layer to the Call Me Clover card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the daisy two times with Calypso Coral ink on Whisper White card stock and punch it out.  Stamp it once more on Pineapple Punch card stock just for the center.  Punch the center out with the 1/2″ circle punch.  Use a bone folder to add some shape to the flower petals before adhering the layers in the center with Liquid Glue.  Use a Dimensional to adhere the flower center.

Apply Liquid Glue only under the center of the flower to adhere to the front panel.  Stamp the fern a couple times on scraps of Whisper White card stock.  Use Paper Snips Scissors to fussy-cut the leaves and tuck them under the daisy, adhering with Glue Dots.  The leaves extend Off the Edge of the raised layer.

Use Calypso Coral ink to stamp the sentiment from the Daisy Lane stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Cut it out with a die from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  Adhere to a scalloped oval mat of Pineapple Punch card stock.

Stamp the small butterfly from the Butterfly Gala stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Color with Stampin’ Blends in Dark Pineapple Punch and Light Calypso Coral.  Cut out with the Butterfly Duet Punch.  Adhere the butterfly to the sentiment piece with one set of wings Off the Edge.

Adhere a loop of Calypso Coral 3/8″ Satin Ribbon to the card front with Glue Dots.  The ends of the ribbon extend Off the Edge of the front panel.  Use Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment piece over the ribbon.

Use Call Me Clover ink to stamp the fern leaf a few times Off the Edge on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Adhere the panel to a mat of Calypso Coral card stock and then to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.

You will love this stamp set.  Your friend will love this card.  I hope you have some time today to get a little inky…
