Stampin’ Up! Needle & Thread Note Cards for Simply Stampin’ Sunday

Welcome to Simply Stampin’ Sunday – my post of Clean And Simple projects that can be made in minutes using Stampin’ Up! products.  This week’s project features the Needle & Thread stamp set and the Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes.  I needed to make quite a few customer Thank You notes and was able to make multiples of this pretty card in very little time.

I also needed to carry my cardmaking supplies with me, as I was going to be away from my studio for the weekend.  The pack of 20 note cards & envelopes were the perfect size and the Stamparatus made my work seem like play.  So easy!

The Needle & Thread stamp set has great sentiments and the large bloom fits perfectly between the greenery.  I set up the greenery and sentiment on the first plate of the Stamparatus and stamped them quickly.  Use a sponge dauber to ink the greenery with Granny Apple Green ink and the Blueberry Bushel stamp pad to ink the sentiment.

Then I set up the flower on the second plate and took more time playing with color combinations.  Use sponge daubers to ink the bloom – be creative!  Be sure to clean the stamp in between inking each bloom.  The top two blooms are inked with Flirty Flamingo and Pineapple Punch.  The bloom center bottom is inked with Pineapple Punch, Highland Heather and Blueberry Bushel.

Top left is Pineapple Punch, Highland Heather and Blueberry Bushel, top right is Pineapple Punch and Blueberry Bushel, center bottom is Pineapple Punch and Highland Heather.  Whisper White Baker’s Twine and Rhinestone Basic Jewels add the finishing touches.

I stamped the envelopes without reinking the blooms and then went back and added the greenery on one side.  Easy-peasy.

Here are the Simple Steps to make this card:

  1. Lay a Whisper White note card on the stamping platform of the Stamparatus all the way up and over in the corner.
  2. Place the greenery and sentiment stamps on the note card face down in the position you choose and close the plate.  The stamps will adhere to the plate.
  3. Ink the greenery with a sponge dauber using Granny Apple Green ink and at the same time ink the sentiment using the Blueberry Bushel ink pad.
  4. Then close the plate to stamp the note card.
  5. Place the next note card all the way up and over in the corner each time.
  6. Reink the stamps in the same manner and stamp each note card.
  7. Leave the stamps on the plate, but remove the plate from the Stamparatus.
  8. Lay a stamped note card on the platform again all the way up and over in the corner.
  9. Next position the bloom stamp face down, aligning it carefully between the greenery.
  10. Switch to the second plate, close it and the stamp will adhere to the plate exactly as you positioned it.
  11. Ink the bloom with sponge daubers in the colors of your choice.
  12. If you wish to stamp the envelopes, you can do so without reinking the stamp.
  13. NOTE: Since you are probably layering and mixing colors, clean the stamp off each time before reinking the bloom for the next card front.
  14. Wrap a length of Whisper White Baker’s Twine around the card front and tie a bow.
  15. Embellish the card front with a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
  16. Stamp one branch of the greenery on the envelope, if you choose.
