Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Well Wishes for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you today.  My card features the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper, the Dandelion Wishes stamp set and the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.  We are all working with a color challenge.  Here’s my card:

And here are the colors we are using:

Although blues aren’t strictly masculine colors, they did lead me to make a masculine card for this week’s blog hop.  I like the stitched design in this sheet of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper and decided to repeat it with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits dies and the hand-drawn stitches on the sentiment panel.  All stitched up!

Use Balmy Blue ink to add the pretty image from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set to a panel of Whisper White card stock after first stamping off on a piece of scrap paper.  Then use the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Die to cut it out and adhere it to a Balmy Blue panel.

Adhere a panel of the Twinkle Twinkle DSP to a Whisper White card stock panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the stamped layer to the DSP layer with Liquid Glue.  Wrap a length of Linen Thread around the layers twice and secure the ends on the back with tape.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the completed piece to front of the Balmy Blue card base.

Use Night of Navy ink to stamp the sentiment on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Hand draw the stitch marks around the edge of the stamped panel with a Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker before adhering to a panel of Balmy Blue card stock.  Adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Adhere a Linen Thread bow to a button from the True Gentleman Buttons collection and adhere to the sentiment panel with a Glue Dot.

For the panel inside the card, use Balmy Blue ink stamped off twice for the image on the Whisper White card stock.  Add the sentiment from the Healing Hugs stamp set stamped in Night of Navy ink.  Adhere to a panel of Night of Navy card stock before adhering to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.
