Stampin’ Up! Floral Romance Doily for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you today.  My card features the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Wonderful Romance stamp set and the Doily Builder Thinlits Dies.  We are all working with a sketch challenge.  Here’s my card:

And here’s the sketch we are using:

I’m sure you can probably tell I love the Floral Romance Suite of products.  I just got the Doily Builder Thinlit Dies and thought of them right away when I saw the circle element in our sketch challenge.  A little coloring with inks and a blender pen bring the stamped floral image to life.

Adhere a panel of Floral Romance Specialty DSP to a mat of Soft Sea Foam card stock with Multipurpose Liquid glue before adhering it to the Mossy Meadow card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use Mossy Meadow ink to stamp the floral image onto a circle die cut from Whisper White card stock.  Color the image with a blender pen and ink from Petal Pink, Fresh Fig, Soft Sea Foam and Mossy Meadow ink pads. Cut a lacy wreath from Petal Pink card stock with a die from the Doily Builder Thinlits Dies and adhere it to the colored art piece with small dabs of Liquid Glue.  Adhere the art piece to the card front using Liquid Glue.

Cut a 4-1/2″ length of Whisper White 5/8″ Flax Ribbon and adhere as shown with glue dots.  Cut a strip of Fresh Fig card stock and trim the ends using the Banner Triple Punch before adhering over the Flax Ribbon with Liquid Glue.  Use Mossy Meadow ink to stamp the sentiment from the Wonderful Romance stamp set on a panel of Soft Sea Foam card stock.  Trim to size and adhere with Glue and Dimensionals.  Embellish with a few Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.

Ink the floral image with Mossy Meadow ink and stamp it twice on scrap paper before stamping on a panel of Soft Sea Foam card stock.  Adhere the card stock panel to the interior of the card using Liquid Glue.
