Stampin’ Up! Well Written Happy Birthday Cupcake for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  This month our theme is “Birthday”.  My card celebrates Birthdays with the Well Written Framelits Dies and the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper.  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the participating Team members are sharing with you today.

The Well Written Framelits Dies are one of my favorite products in the 2019 Occasions Catalog, probably because I love word dies and this set is a great size.  Cut the words “happy” and “birthday” twice – once from Whisper White card stock and again from Gorgeous Grape card stock.  Use small dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the set of words together – White on top, Grape on the bottom – slightly offset to create a shadow effect.

Adhere a panel of How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper to a panel of Whisper White card stock with Liquid Glue.  Cut two lengths of Bermuda Bay 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbon and tie a double knot.  Wrap the ribbon across the layer you just created and secure the ends of the ribbon on the back side with tape.  Cut an oval piece from Gorgeous Grape card stock with a die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

Dry-fit the words and oval mat on the card front to determine placement before adhering with Liquid Glue.  Then use Liquid Glue to adhere the layer to the front of the card base.  Use Paper Snips to cut out a cupcake image from the How Sweet It Is DSP.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card front over the oval mat. – Optional: Use the 1/8″ handheld circle punch to make some round sprinkles to glue on the icing.  I matched the printed sprinkles using Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Pineapple Punch card stock.

Adhere strips of card stock to the left and right edge of a panel of Whisper White card stock before adhering it to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.  All ready for your handwritten note.
