Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds Hello for Simply Stampin’ Sunday

Welcome to Simply Stampin’ Sunday – my post of Clean And Simple projects that can be made in minutes using Stampin’ Up! products.  This week’s note card features the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (a Sale-A-Bration item free with $50 order) and the Beauty Abounds stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.

The layout for my card today was inspired by As You See It Challenge #191:

The Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper does all the work on this card.  I love the variety of colorful designs it has and also the fact that the back side of each sheet has black and white patterns.  Beautiful!

Shape the butterfly image by lifting the wings a bit and adhering the butterfly with Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the body only.  The sentiment piece is adhered to the card front with Dimensionals.

A single butterfly from the Beauty Abounds stamp set adds a touch of interest to the inside panel and allows plenty of space for your handwritten note.

I’ve made multiples of this card using various colors of card stock to show the how versatile and fun this paper is.  Check them out HERE.

Here are the Simple Steps to make this card:

  1. Cut a 5″ x 7″ panel of Petal Pink card stock, score at 3-1/2″ and fold in half for card base.
  2. Cut a 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ panel of Botanical Butterfly DSP and use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere to a 2-7/8″ x 4-3/8″ panel of Basic Black card stock.
  3. Adhere the layer to the front of the card base with Liquid Glue.
  4. Cut a circle of Petal Pink card stock with the 2″ circle punch.
  5. Stamp the sentiment from the Beauty Abounds stamp set on the circle with Jet Black StazOn ink.
  6. Cut a circle from Basic Black card stock with the Starburst Punch.
  7. Glue the stamped circle to the Black circle with Glue and then adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  8. Use the Butterfly Duet Punch to cut out a butterfly from a panel of Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.
  9. Shape the butterfly wings a bit with your fingers and then adhere the body only of the butterfly to the circle with Glue.
  10. Tie a bow with Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine and adhere with a Glue Dot.
  11. Stamp a butterfly image from the Beauty Abounds stamp set in Black StazOn ink on a 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ panel of Whisper White card stock.
  12. Adhere to the inside of the note card with SNAIL.

Sue, this is simply gorgeous! I love the touches of black that make the subtle elements really pop. The pink is a perfect plain to use. The way you’ve combined a busy paper but created a calming card is very clever. Thank you for joining us at As You See It Challenge.
