Stampin’ Up! Festive Season’s Greetings for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you today.  I used the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set and the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper for today’s card.  The greenery and branches are all cut with the Pretty Pines Thinlits dies.  We are working with a sketch challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here’s the sketch for this week:

The Snowflake Sentiments stamp set is available for order in the Annual Catalog.  It was one of my favorites from last year’s Holiday catalog and will probably remain in my permanent collection.  Love the sentiments and the fonts.

To begin, adhere a panel of the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper to a Mossy Meadow card stock mat with Mutipurpose Liquid Glue before adhering it to front of the Very Vanilla Thick card stock base.

Use Cherry Cobbler ink to stamp the sentiment on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Cut it out with an oval die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits die set.  Then adhere the sentiment panel to a scalloped oval mat cut from Cherry Cobbler card stock with a die from the Layering Ovals Framelits die set.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to the card front.

Use the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies to cut multiple branches and leaves from Mossy Meadow and Old Olive card stock.  The twigs with berries are cut from Very Vanilla card stock and colored with the Bronze and Cherry Cobbler Dark Stampin’ Blends markers.  Slip the die cut leaves, branches and twigs under the sentiment layer and adhere to the card front with glue dots.  Adhere a couple leaves and branches to the sentiment panel.   Complete with a Crumb Cake Nature’s Twine bow adhered with a Glue Dot.

Stamp the inside sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Adhere to a Mossy Meadow mat before adhering to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.

  5. Well, Sue, what you did was sort of what I wanted to do…Christmasy with pines. However, I need some sympathy cards, so…..
Yours is well done and lovely. The pine boughs go very well with that DSP.

I like how the pine diecuts are a contrast to the small print in the dsp.
