Stampin’ Up! Making Christmas Bright for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you today.  I used the Making Spirits Bright stamp set and the All Is Bright Designer Series Paper for today’s card.  We are working with a color challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here are the colors we are using:

My card design was inspired by The Paper Players Sketch Challenge: PP420

The Making Christmas Bright stamp set has great sentiment stamps along with fun graphic designs – a total of 17 stamps!  And there’s a coordinating Christmas Bulb Builder Punch.  Wow!  Love the way the stamps coordinate with the All is Bright DSP, too.

Shaded Spruce is the perfect color for the card base.  Adhere a panel of Whisper White card stock to a Real Red card stock mat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere the completed layer to the card front with Liquid Glue, as well.  Adhere two coordinating panels of All is Bright DSP to Real Red card stock mats and adhere to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the sentiment from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Use the 2-1/8″ square die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies to cut it out.  Adhere to a mat of Shaded Spruce card stock.  Wrap the layer with Linen Thread and secure the ends to the back side with tape.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment layer to the card front.   Tie a triple loop bow from Linen Thread and adhere with a glue dot.

Stamp the string of lights on a panel of Whisper White card stock with Stazon Jet Black ink.  Use the Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write markers to color the little light bulbs.  Then stamp the inside sentiment with Real Red ink.  Use Glue to adhere the stamped panel to a mat of Real Red card stock before adhering to the inside of the card.  Ready to go in the mail!
