Welcome to Simply Stampin’ Sunday – my post of Clean And Simple projects that can be made in minutes using Stampin’ Up! products. This week’s project features the All is Bright Designer Series Paper and the Flourish Filigree stamp set from the 2018 Holiday catalog.
I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches 364 challenge this week:
This sketch is great for making a Simple Card, don’t you agree? And the coordinating colors in the Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper collections make matching super simple, too!
Using Basic Black card stock for the mats makes the designs pop – I love using a touch of Black as an accent. And the coordinating stamp and punch is so fun!
The Gold embossed sentiment and the Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon repeat the gold found in the photographic image of greenery and decorations in the Designer Series Paper.
Here are the Simple Steps to make this card:
- Cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ panel of Crumb Cake card stock, score at 4-1/4″ and fold in half for card base.
- Cut a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ panel of All is Bright Designer Series Paper and adhere to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Basic Black card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Adhere the completed layer to the front of the card base with Liquid Glue.
- Cut a 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ panel of All is Bright DSP and adhere to a 2-3/8″ x 2-3/8″ panel of Basic Black card stock with Glue.
- Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the square layer to the front of the card base.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Flourish Filigree stamp set on a panel of Basic Black card stock with Versamark ink.
- Sprinkle the stamped image with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, tap off excess and heat with the Heat Tool until shiny, smooth and melted.
- Punch the sentiment panel with the Pretty Label Punch, once it has cooled.
- Adhere the sentiment to the card front using Glue on the end that overlaps the DSP square and Dimensionals under the end that extends beyond the square.
- Fold a length of Gold 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon in half. Wrap once with a length of 1/8″ Solid Ribbon, tie a knot to cinch it up and trim.
- Use Glue Dots to adhere the ribbon embellishment to the card front.
- Use Real Red ink to stamp the sentiment from the Flourish Filigree stamp set on a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ panel of Very Vanilla card stock.
- Adhere the stamped panel to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic Black card stock mat and adhere the completed layer to the card interior with Liquid Glue.
