Stampin’ Up! First Frost Season of Warmth for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the projects they are sharing with you.  I used the First Frost stamp set, Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies and Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper for today’s card.  We are working with a sketch challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here’s the sketch for this week: (I turned it on it’s side)

The First Frost stamp set has sentiments for the season that aren’t specific to a particular holiday – so versatile!  I love that they work for any of the winter holidays – or just for the season in general.  And the shimmery Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper is definitely one of my favorites – don’t miss out getting it – just saying.  It won’t be available much longer.

Use the Layered Leaves Dynamic embossing folder to add texture to a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Adhere it to a Tranquil Tide card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Adhere a panel of Frosted Floral Specialty DSP to a mat of Tranquil Tide card stock and then adhere the layer to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimnesionals.  Cut a smaller panel of the DSP and use the Banner Triple Punch to cut one end before adhering to the card front with Glue.  The sentiment from the First Frost stamp set is stamped with Tranquil Tide ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut out with a die from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies set.

Using the same die set, cut a mat from Tranquil Tide card stock and adhere the sentiment layer to the mat.  Loop a length of Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon and adhere to the card front with Glue Dots as shown.  Adhere the sentiment layer over the ribbon, using Dimensionals.  Cut a few branches from Tranquil Tide card stock with the Detailed Poinsettias Thinlets Dies.  Tuck them under the sentiment label and adhere with Glue Dots.  Embellish the label and card front with some Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a few Tranquil Tide pearls from the Artisan Pearls collection.

Adhere a strip of the Specialty DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock before adhering it to the interior of the card with Liquid Glue.  Perfect card for anyone during the Holiday Season!
