Stampin’ Up! Happy Memories for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the projects they shared with you.  I used the Santa’s Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper for today’s card.  It’s perfect for our color challenge this week and the DSP has flocking on it – brings back Happy Memories, for sure.  Here’s my card:

And here’s the color challenge:

It was fun to use an image from the Designer Series Paper and build a card around it.  It makes me smile – hope it does you, too!  This card has a lot of different textures.  The Whisper White background panel is embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder, the DSP has some flocking and the branches framing the image add dimension as well.

Wrap three lengths of Garden Green washi tape from the Suite Season Specialty collection around the Whisper White panel after it has been embossed.  Adhere to a Basic Black card stock mat and then to the Poppy Parade card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Cut out the DSP image with a die from the Layering Circles Framelits dies.  Adhere it to a Poppy Parade panel and mat with Basic Black.

The sentiment is a sticker from the Santa’s Workshop Memories & More Card Pack.  Adhere to a Garden Green card stock label made with the Classic Label punch and embellish with a bow from the Santa’s Workshop Enamel Shapes collection.  The small pine branches are cut from Garden Green card stock with the Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits dies.

Wrap one more length of washi tape around the interior panel of Whisper White card stock, mat with Basic Black and adhere to the card base with Liquid Glue.  Ready for your handwritten message.
