Stampin’ Up! Christmas Wishes for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  I used the Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set and the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.  We have a sketch challenge this week – here’s my card.

Here is the sketch challenge we are using:

And here are pictures and instructions so you can make this card, too!

Begin by adhering a panel of Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper to a panel of Shaded Spruce card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then adhere a strip of DSP from the same collection centered left to right and top to bottom.  Cut a wider strip from another pattern of Under the Mistletoe DSP and use the Banner Triple Punch to flag each end.  Adhere to the front layer centered over the first strip with Liquid Glue.  The front layer can now be adhered to the front of the Soft Sea Foam card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set on a panel of Soft Sea Foam card stock with Shaded Spruce ink.  Use an oval die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies to cut out.  Cut a scalloped oval mat from Shaded Spruce card stock with a die from the Layering Oval Framelits dies.  Adhere the ovals with Glue.  Die cut a couple branches with a die from the Detailed Poinsettia Thinits Dies – one from Shaded Spruce and one from Pear Pizzazz card stock.  Use Paper Snips to cut out a couple images from the DSP.  Adhere the branches and fussy-cut images to the top edge of the oval layer.  Then adhere the oval layer to the card front with Dimensionals.  Tie a triple bow with Real Red 1/8″ Solid Ribbon and adhere to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Stamp a sentiment from the Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock with Shaded Spruce ink.  Adhere a strip of DSP along the bottom edge.  Then adhere it to a panel of Shaded Spruce card stock and the inside of the card using Liquid Glue.  Add to your stash of cards ready to mail in December!

  1. So pretty! Soft Sea Foam is the perfect background for that designer paper, love the layering under your sentiment too! 🙂

  2. What a wonderful card to show how DSP can do most of the work for you.

  3. Oh, my, Sue. I have not been a fan of that particular DSP (the main one on your card), but you have given me a new appreciation for it. Perfectly used coordinating DSPs and lthe Soft Sea Foam goes so well with them. Great card.

  4. Very pretty!! Love the colors and your fussy cut bells! 🙂
