Stampin’ Up! Tropical Escape Wonderful for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  I used the Rooted in Nature stamp set and the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper to create my card for today.  We have a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made:

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

I love the colors in the Tropical Escape 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.  And projects are so easy to create since we have the coordinating card stock.  Easy-peasy, matchy-matchy!

To begin, use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Tropical Escape DSP to a panel of Shaded Spruce card stock.  Then adhere the completed layer to the Blushing Bride card base with Liquid Glue, as well.  Cut a 2″ x 4″ panel of Tropical Escape DSP and use the Banner Triple Punch on one end.  Adhere to a 2-1/8″ x 4-1/8″ panel of card stock with Glue.  Use Paper Snips to trim the banner end in the card stock, leaving a narrow border.  Adhere the banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use Shaded Spruce ink to stamp the sentiment from the Rooted in Nature stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Use the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies to cut it out.  Adhere to a scalloped oval mat of Shaded Spruce card stock cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  Adhere the sentiment layer to the banner with Glue.  Fussy-cut a floral image from the DSP, adhere to the upper edge of the sentiment panel.  Use Wink of Stella on the bloom to add a bit of sparkle.  Loop a length of Linen Thread through a button from Tropical Elements and tie a knot.  Adhere to the banner with a Mini Glue Dot.  Add a few pearls to the sentiment panel and the card front is complete.

For the inside, adhere a panel of Whisper White card stock to a panel of Shaded Spruce card stock with Liquid Glue and then adhere the completed layer to the inside of the card.  Add another floral image fussy-cut from the DSP and adhered with glue in the bottom left corner.
