Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

This is the week for our monthly Joint Blog Hop.  Be sure to stop by to check out what all the talented bloggers in this Hop have shared.  We have a sketch challenge AND a color challenge and can choose to participate in either one or both – I chose both!  Here is my card for this week:

And here are the sketch and color challenges for this week:

My card this week showcases the large bloom in the Beautiful Promenade stamp set and die bundle.  This bundle features floral images and graphic designs along with sentiments of friendship and support.  The die set has framelits for floral images as well as thinlits for a doily, tag topper and envelope liner.  Lots of possibilities!

To begin, add texture to a panel of Petal Pink card stock with the new Subtle embossing folder.  Run it through the Big Shot once, turn the paper in the folder from vertical to horizontal and run it through again.  The result is a woven, linen look.  Mat the embossed piece by adhering it to a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Use Blackberry Bliss ink to stamp the floral image on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Use Petal Pink ink to stamp the graphic filler image in the flower.  Stamp the leaf image three times with Bermuda Bay ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Die cut the stamped flower and leaf images with the framelits, plus die cut two of the other leaves in the set from Bermuda Bay card stock.

Use Blackberry Bliss ink to stamp the sentiment on a strip of Very Vanilla card stock.  Use the Banner Triple Punch to notch one end of the strip before adhering it to the front panel with Liquid Glue.  Adhere the flower to the front panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Tuck the leaves under the bloom and adhere with glue.  Tie a knot in a length of Petal Pink ribbon from the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack, trim the ends and adhere to the banner with a Glue Dot.  Embellish the flower, banner and card front with gold Metallic Pearls and Blackberry Bliss Faceted Dots gems.  Adhere the completed front panel to the Bermuda Bay card base with Dimensionals.

Use Bermuda Bay ink to stamp the leaf image in the bottom right corner of a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Adhere the panel to a Blackberry Bliss card stock mat and then adhere the layer to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.  Good to go!
