Stampin’ Up! Floral Frames for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  I used the Floral Frames stamp set and the Foliage Frames Framelits Dies (available as a Bundle with a 10% savings) to create my card for today.  We have a color challenge this week and this is what I made:

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

The Floral Frames Bundle is one of my most recent purchases and I’m so glad I chose to order it.   The images are so pretty and the dies are amazing.  Love the sentiments as well.

To begin, I used the Layered Leaves embossing folder to add dimension to a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Adhere the embossed piece to a panel of Basic Black card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Wrap a length of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine around the layer three times and adhere the ends to the back side with tape.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the completed layer to a Lemon Lime Twist card base.

Stamp the label image from the Floral Frames stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock with Lemon Lime Twist ink.  Stamp the sentiment centered on the label with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Use a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to carefully add black ink over the little dots on the stamped image.  Then use Paper Snips to fussy-cut the label.  Cut a mat from Lovely Lipstick card stock with the label die from the Foliage Frame Framelits Dies set.  Adhere the sentiment label to the mat with Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the label to the card front with Dimensionals.

Stamp each of the flower images from the Floral Frames stamp set a panel of Whisper White card stock using Lovely Lipstick ink.  Cut them out with the corresponding dies.  Cut five sets of leaves of each design (ten leaves total) from Lemon Lime Twist card stock with the Foliage Frame Framelits Dies.  Adhere the leaves and flowers under and over the label as shown using Liquid Glue.  Add small and medium black Faceted Dots to the flower centers.  Tie a triple loop bow with Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine and adhere it to the card front with a Glue Dot.  Adhere a Lemon Lime Twist flower button to the center of the bow with a Glue Dot and finish with one more black Faceted Dot in the center of the button.

Stamp a floral image from the Floral Frames stamp set in the lower right corner of a panel of Whisper White card stock with Lovely Lipstick ink.  Stamp the small leafy branch with Lemon Lime Twist ink as shown.  Adhere the stamped panel to a mat of Basic Black card stock using Liquid Glue and then adhere the completed layer to the inside of the card in the same manner.
