Stampin’ Up! Lots of Happy Birthday for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  I used the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper and the stamp set in the Lots of Happy card kit to create my card for today.  We have a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it:

Here is the sketch we’re using:

The Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper has gold foil accents on one side and I chose to use three selections from the pack for today’s card.  Love how we have such great options to choose from.

To begin, adhere a panel of the DSP to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Assemble the two additional layers by adhering one panel of the DSP to a panel of Basic Black card stock and the second panel to a Gold Foil sheet.  Use glue to adhere the two completed layers to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Lots of Happy card kit with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Use the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch to cut it out.  Cut a circle from Basic Black card stock with the 2″ Circle Punch and a Gold Foil mat with the Starburst Punch.  Adhere the layers together with Liquid Glue.  Use Glue Dots to adhere a length of Basic Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon to the back of the sentiment piece then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere  to the card front.  Add a few gold sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment with small dabs of Liquid Glue.

Use Paper Snips to fussy-cut an assortment of candles from a scrap of the Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Adhere to a panel of Whisper White card stock with Liquid Glue and adhere the completed panel to the inside of the card.
