Stampin’ Up! Lilypad Lake Sailboats for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the new Lilypad Lake stamp set and a sneak of the new Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper from the 2018-19 Annual Catalog to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We have a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it:

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

The new Lilypad Lake stamp set and coordinating Lakeside Framelits dies were on my short list. So many great elements to create a wide variety of scenes.  They will be available for purchase starting June 1st.

To begin, adhere a panel of Tranquil Textures DSP to a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere a strip of DSP over the full panel aligned along the lower edge using liquid glue.  Wrap White Baker’s Twine around the completed layer three times and tie a bow near the top edge.  Adhere the completed layer to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the art piece, ink the “waves” stamp from the Lilypad Lake stamp set with Balmy Blue ink and stamp repeatedly on a panel of Whisper White card stock from the lower edge upward without reinking.  I did this step twice.  Ink the circle stamp with Pineapple Punch ink, stamp and then use a blender pen and ink to color the sun.  Adhere the art piece panel to a panel of Pineapple Punch cards stock with Liquid Glue.  Use Stampin Dimensionals to adhere the art piece to the card front.

Stamp the sailboats with Archival Basic Black ink or StazOn ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock.  Color the sailboats with blender pens and Pineapple Punch, Mint Macaron, Powder Pink and Balmy Blue inks.  Use the coordinating Lakeside Framelits dies to cut out the sailboats after coloring.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere the single boat to the card front and Mini Dimensionals to adhere the set of two.  Stamp the sentiment on a strip of Balmy Blue card sock with Black Ink and die cut with the banner die from the Lakeside Framelits Dies set.  Adhere the sentiment banner to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the sailboats with black ink in the lower right corner of a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Adhere to a Pineapple Punch card stock mat with Liquid Glue and then adhere the completed layer to the card interior with Liquid Glue.
