Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the soon to be released Rooted in Nature stamp set and Nature’s Roots framelits dies bundle and a sneak of the new Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper from the 2018-19 Annual Catalog to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  And this week is the first Monthly Joint Blog Hop with some very talented fellow demonstrators from Canada – The Happy Stampers.  Welcome ladies!  Because it’s a Joint Hop, we have a choice of a sketch challenge, a color challenge, or both!  I chose both because… why not, right?  This is what I made:

And here is the color challenge and the sketch challenge I combined for my card:

To begin, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper to a panel of Night of Navy card stock.  This layer was adhered to a panel of Crumb Cake card stock and then to the front of a Tranquil Tide card base with Liquid Glue

I stamped the sentiment from the Rooted in Nature stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock with Tranquil Tide ink.  I cut the sentiment layer with a plain die from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  I used the same die set to cut a mat from Crumb Cake card stock.  The Night of Navy oval mat was cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  The oval panels are adhered to each other with Liquid Glue.  The completed sentiment layer is adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped a couple small leafy branches from the Rooted in Nature stamp set with Tranquil Tide ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and cut them out with the coordinating die from the Nature’s Roots Framelits dies.  One branch is adhered to the left edge of the sentiment layer and the other branch is trimmed into two pieces and tucked under the right edge, both adhered with Liquid Glue.  I tied a triple loop bow with the new Night of Navy Medium Baker’s Twine and adhered with a Glue Dot.

The small leafy branch stamp is inked with Tranquil Tide ink and stamped three times without re-inking in the lower right corner of a panel of Whisper White card stock.  This panel is adhered to a mat of Crumb Cake card stock and then to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.
