Stampin’ Up! Graceful Glass Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the new Graceful Glass 6 x 6 Designer Vellum Paper to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We have a color challenge this week and this is the card I made for it:

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

This new collection of Stained Glass imagery designs on vellum is perfect for coloring.  I used Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers in Calypso Coral Dark, Daffodil Delight Dark and Old Olive Dark.  I didn’t try to do any shading or blending, it’s just simple coloring on the BACK side.  The ink on the front side is raised and shiny – like heat embossing.  So pretty and elegant.

Use Basic Black for the card base cut at 4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Whisper White card stock centered on the card front.  Lay the colored vellum panel over the Whisper White card stock panel.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere two strips of Basic Black card stock along each side of the card, overlapping the edge of the vellum to secure it in place.  Adhere narrow strips of Basic Black card stock along the top and bottom edges of the card front, again overlapping the edge of the vellum panel to secure.  Tie a bow with Basic Black Solid Bakers Twine and adhere to the vellum panel with Mini Glue Dots.

I stamped a butterfly image from the Painted Glass stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then adhered it to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.
