Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Day for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Beautiful Day stamp set and the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We have a sketch challenge this week and this is the card I made for it:

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

Stamp the floral image from the Beautiful Day stamp set on a panel of Shimmery White card stock with Versamark ink and use White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool to emboss the image.  Use an Aqua Painter and Berry Burst ink to paint the flower petals and Daffodil Delight ink to paint the flower center.  Once dry, use a slightly damp paper towel to gently clean the embossing to remove any ink spots.  Fussy-cut the image with Paper Snips.

Adhere a panel of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper to a Basic Black card stock base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Next adhere a smaller panel of Petal Passion DSP to a Berry Burst card stock mat.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the smaller layer to the card front about 1″ down from the top edge.  Cut a 4″ length of Berry Burst 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon.  Cut the ends at an angle and adhere to the art panel with Glue Dots. Use the branch die from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies to cut two sets of leaves from both Old Olive card stock and Pear Pizzazz card stock.

Adhere the painted bloom to the art layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then slide the leaves under the bloom and adhere with Glue Dots.  Stamp the sentiment with Basic Black Archival ink on Whisper White card stock and die cut with the label from the Petals & More Thinlits Die set.  Cut another label from Berry Burst card stock.  Cut it in half and adhere to the back of the sentiment label with Liquid Glue, allowing a bit of color to show at each end.  Adhere the label to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A narrow strip of DSP is added along the bottom edge of a Whisper White card stock panel which is then adhered to the card interior.
