Stampin’ Up! Epic Celebrations for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Epic Celebrations stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We have a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it:

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

The Epic Celebrations stamp set is in the first Sale-A-Bration brochure and will retire on March 31st, so if you’ve been thinking about getting it, don’t miss your chance!

To begin, stamp the random dots pattern with Lemon Lime Twist, Dapper Denim and Basic Gray Archival ink along the left side of the Very Vanilla card stock panel.  Stamp repeatedly with each color without re-inking.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Eastern Palace Specialty DSP about 1/2″ from the edge on the Very Vanilla card stock panel.  Stamp the sentiment in Basic Gray Archival ink in the lower right corner.

Cut 6-1/2″ lengths of both Lemon Lime Twist 3/8″ Mini Striped ribbon and 1/4″ Basic Gray Shimmer ribbon.  Align the Lemon Lime Twist ribbon along the edge of the DSP panel and wrap the ends to the back side of the Very Vanilla panel and secure with tape.  Layer the Basic Gray ribbon over the top, wrap the ends to the back and secure with tape, as well.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the completed layered panel to the Dapper Denim card front.

Stamp the image of the shoes with Basic Black Archival ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock. Color the shoes with Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Gray and Dapper Denim Stampin’ Write markers.  Use the Layering Circles Framelits dies to cut out the stamped image, a Dapper Denim scalloped circle mat and a Lemon Lime Twist plain circle mat.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the art piece to the mats.  Adhere the completed art layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the interior panel, stamp the random dots pattern with Lemon Lime Twist, Dapper Denim and Basic Gray Archival ink along the left side of the Very Vanilla card stock panel in the same manner as the card front.  Stamp the sentiment with Basic Gray Archival ink and adhere to the card inside with Liquid Glue.
